Additional Skill Identifier (ASI) 6R Available Now
22 APR 2024
COL Kendra A. Green, Commandant o the Army Force Management School worked with Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) stakeholders to gain the approval of Additional Skill Identifier (ASI) 6R Force Management effective March 2023. The ASI 6R is awarded by the supporting personnel office (across all three components) upon completion of the How the Army Runs Course (HTARC) for Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) in the ranks of Sergeant First Class (SFC) through Sergeant Major (SGM). This new ASI enables all military personnel who graduate from the HTARC to receive an ASI. For Officers. graduation from HTARC means eligibility for ASI 3R Force Management. Now, with this recently approved change to Table 12-2 of DA PAM 611-21 SMARTBOOK (access through MilSuite), NCOs can have their own ASI for completion of HTARC. Additionally, COL Green directed that NCOs who graduated from HTARC (and are still in service) since 1 Oct 2016 (FY 2017) will be contacted via email for the respective NCO to work their ASI 6R Force Management award through their supporting personnel office.
