The Action Officer Logistic Course is designed to educate and train DCS G-4 military logisticians, civilian counterparts,
and other organizations as needed on the staffs of the Army Staff/Secretariat, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, Defense Logistics Agency and Army Materiel Command. This course focuses on theLogistics Strategic Planning Guidance and provides an understanding of current logistics agencies, their goals, policies, processes and systems to prepare the student to execute and manage logistics staff officer functions.
AOLC Scope
This course addresses the logistics staff processes from translation of requirements to Army logistics goals through development of plans, programs and acquisition of Army materiel. Students will learn the functional requirements of logistics planning and execution methodologies; integration; use of logistics processes; and the relationship between the various logistics agencies and proponents in a transforming Army.
AOLC Prerequisites
This one week course is designed for up to 48 Army officers (MAJ through COL) and Civilian personnel (GS12 through GM15) assigned to Army Staff/Secretariat, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Army Materiel Command (AMC) and CASCOM in designated staff positions; other personnel (e.g. CPT and GS-11) may be admitted on a case-by-case basis.

AOLC Enrollment Procedures
This course is designed for an optimal of 42 students and a maximum of 48 students per class.
Army G-4 sponsors the course for personnel assigned to staff positions within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, Army Secretariat, Army Staff, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Army Materiel Command (AMC) and CASCOM.
Course is designed for Majors through Colonels, and Civilian personnel (GS-12 through GS-15).
Course and materials only are centrally funded through the ODCS G-4.
Attendees are scheduled by the Army G-45/7, Strategy and Integration Directorate.
