FA50QC Purpose
The FA50QC is the fourteen-week Intermediate Level Education (ILE) credentialing course for officers accessed as FA50s.  The course prepares FA50 officers and FC26 civilians to perform force management functions in the operational and institutional Army at the HQDA, division, corps, and Army Service Component Command (ASCC) levels.  The course provides current force management regulatory guidance, policies, processes, systems and procedures for managing change in the Army.  The course is designed for up to 36 students and is presented at least twice a year.
FA50QC Scope
The FA50QC has two phases of instruction. Phase 1 is the four-week How the Army Runs Course (HTARC). Phase 2, the ten-week FA50QC, is divided into five blocks of instruction: Strategy; Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE); Capabilities Development (CD); Materiel Development (MD); and Force Development (FD). Classroom instruction combines the following methods: small, large, and panel group discussion; peer-partner learning; practical exercises; guest speakers; and tests. Instructors are subject matter experts from the AFMS faculty, Army & Joint Staff, and TRADOC.
