ARNG FM Course Description
The Army National Guard Force Management Course is a two-week force management course designed to educate and train military and civilian personnel assigned to State, Territory, District of Columbia, and Temple Army National Guard Readiness Center (TARC) force management and force integration positions. The course is designed for students assigned as Mobilization Readiness Officers, Force Integration Readiness Officers, Manpower/Force Development NCOs and Management Analysts. Other personnel may be admitted on a case-by-case basis. Attendees are scheduled through the ATRRS system through the State training office and as a Personnel Action Request in IPPS-A for personnel assigned to the Temple Army National Guard Readiness Center (TARC).

ARNG FM Course Registration Procedures
The course quotas are established and funded by the Army National Guard. All Military and Civilians register in the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) in Course Title: ARNG FORCE MANAGEMENT COURSE, Course Number: 964-ARNG-HRR-023.
Military members from States / Territories coordinate with State / Territory School Managers, JFHQ J3/G3 to register in ATRRS. Military members assigned to NGB complete DA Form 4187, Personnel Action. Submit DA Form 4187 to your Officer Branch manager, who will forward form to ARNG-TR-I for registration in ATRRS.
Civilians (GS) assigned to NGB complete Standard Form (SF) 182, Authorization, Agreement and Certification of Training. Submit approved SF 182 to ARNG-FM POC, Mr. Tim Hoban, email: timothy.m.hoban.civ@mail.mil who will forward form to ARNG-TR-I for registration in ATRRS.
The ARNG FMC prepares National Guard military and civilian personnel to serve in force management and force integration positions at the State, Territory, District of Columbia (DC), and the National level. It also fulfills one of the educational requirements for ARNG Force Management Officers (WO-COL).
The ARNG FMC focuses on four components of ARNG Force Management: 1) Force Structure; 2) Readiness; 3) Stationing; and 4) Equipment Modernization. The course provides an overview of the critical tasks normally performed by military and civilian personnel serving in force management and force integration positions at the State, Territory, District of Columbia (DC), and the National level.
Priority placement is for military and civilian personnel performing in positions of the Force Integration Readiness Officer (FIRO), Mobilization Readiness Officer (MRO), Management Analyst (MA), or Force Managers assigned at the Army National Guard Force Management Division (ARNG-SPZ-FM) or the Force Development Division (ARNG-SPZ-FD). Other military and civilian personnel are encouraged to attend subject to space availability and Chief, ARNG-FM approval.
