AFMS NEWS
Launching Pilot AOIC Hybrid Course (AOIC 11-26):
AFMS will conduct a pilot hybrid iteration of the Action Officer Integration Course (AOIC 11-26) will be conducted from August 24-28.

What is a Hybrid Class?

A hybrid course is a fully integrated learning environment where in-person (resident) and virtual students participate simultaneously. Unlike standard online training, virtual attendees are not passive observers. They are actively integrated into the live classroom, participating in real-time discussions, mixed group work, and practical exercises alongside resident students.

Attendance Guidelines:
  • National Capital Region (NCR) Personnel: Students stationed within the NCR will be admitted to the course as in-person (resident) students only.
  • Non-NCR Personnel: Students stationed outside the NCR have the option to be admitted as virtual students if desired.
Benefits of Attending the Hybrid AOIC:
  • Zero Travel Costs: Units can get personnel AOIC-qualified without expending TDY funds.
  • Maximum Flexibility: Personnel facing geographic, budgetary, or mission constraints can now attend from their home station.
  • Maintained Rigor: Delivers the exact same premium training, collaboration, and networking opportunities as the traditional resident course, but with expanded reach.
Next Steps for Enrollment:

If you are interested in attending this pilot hybrid iteration, please contact your unit Training Coordinator / Manager, or reach out directly to the AFMS Registrar to secure your slot. Early registration is highly encouraged to ensure sufficient time for our learning management team to provision accounts and test user access. account provisioning and access testing.

If your welcome enclosure asked that you complete any one of the DL courses above, please disregard that instruction.  The courses above have been suspended pending a redesign of the courses to meet emerging HQDA guidance on Army Transformation.

However, the following two courses remain active and contain updated content:
  • Command Plan
  • Change Management Plan
Please visit our “Distributed Learning Tab” located within the “Courses Tab ”on this webpage for further information. There you will also find the log in connection to the active courses.
